Artist Statement

My goal is to create an illusion of illusion — to demonstrate that our world is never static or unequivocal for a single moment.

The central theme of my work is the manifestation of the illusory nature of the surrounding world. Through painting, graphics and sculpture, I construct my own mythology — reflecting my perspectives, aesthetics, and personal experiences.

I invite observers into a dialogue about their place in the world and how we perceive the reality around us. As the allegory of Plato's cave teaches us, true understanding can only be achieved through the dispelling of illusions.

"Zakmane's works interrogate the boundary between illusion and reality — a dialogue that feels urgently relevant in an age when the simulated and the real are increasingly indistinguishable."
